PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect foreign substance attaching to the front glass of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes an imaging optical system, an imaging device, and a processor. The imaging device is arranged so that a part of the window of a vehicle is located between the imaging device and a foreign substance identifying object in the vehicle, includes the foreign substance identifying object and the part of the window in an imaging range, and is arranged so that the straight line connecting a surface of the imaging optical system which is the closest to the foreign substance identifying object and the foreign substance identifying object is along the surface of the part of the window. The processor detects foreign substance attaching on the window based on an image of at least a part of the foreign substance identifying object taken by the imaging device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
