PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterweight clearance measuring device capable of performing accurate measurement.SOLUTION: The counterweight clearance measuring device includes: a movement amount measurement part 13 for starting to measure a movement amount of a counterweight on the basis of information from a movement amount detection part 8 of a car in the case that an optical sensor 10 fixed to prescribed height in a hoistway in a state of facing a projection surface side of an accessory member of the counterweight is determined to be in an on state; a comparison determination part 14 for comparing the movement amount with the height dimension of the accessory member in the case that an on/off state determination part 12 determines that the optical sensor 10 is in an off state; an input-output control part 11a for causing the movement amount measurement part 13 to continuously measure a movement amount in the case of determining that difference in length between the movement amount of the counterweight and the height dimension of the accessory member is within a prescribed range; and a clearance calculation part 16 for calculating counterweight clearance on the basis of a measurement result of the counterweight measured by the movement amount measurement part 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
