PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an art capable of enhancing ability to absorb an impact force caused by a collision of an underwater obstacle against a ship propulsion machine.SOLUTION: A trim/tilt device for ship propulsion machine comprises: a rod-shaped piston rod 60 with one of end part sides attached to a ship propulsion machine body; an inner cylinder 40; an inner piston 50 attached to the other one of the end part sides of the piston rod 60 and encased in the inner cylinder 40 and partitioning a space inside the inner cylinder 40 into a fourth chamber Y4 on the one of the end part sides and a fifth chamber Y5 on the other one of the end part sides; an outer cylinder 20 encasing the inner cylinder 40; and an outer piston 30 covering an opening part at the one of end part sides of the inner cylinder 40 in a state of exposing the piston rod 60, partitioning a space in the outer cylinder 20 into a second chamber Y2 on the one of the end part sides and a first chamber Y1 on the other one of the end part sides, and including a through-hole 32d formed to communicate the fourth chamber Y4 and the second chamber Y2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
