PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent tightness of a communication resource such as a radio band or communication capacity and the like in a radio communication network among vehicles, and to exchange necessary information without delay when needed via the radio communication network.SOLUTION: An inter-vehicle communication device comprises: a communication device (202) that communicates with other vehicle via a radio communication network conducting communication by switching a communication state between a standby state and a connection state; and state setting means (208) that selectively sets a state of the communication device to the standby state and the connection state. The state setting means is configured to: judge whether at least one prescribed condition is satisfied on the basis of information about an own vehicle or information about other vehicle; when the prescribed condition is satisfied, set the communication device to the connection state; and, under a condition where the prescribed condition is not satisfied, set the communication device to the standby state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両間において、無線通信ネットワークにおける無線帯域や通信容量等の通信リソースの逼迫を防止しつつ、当該無線通信ネットワークを介して必要なとき必要な情報を遅滞なく交換すること。【解決手段】通信状態を待機状態と接続状態とに切り替えて通信を行う無線通信ネットワークを介して他車両との間で通信を行う通信装置(202)と、前記通信装置の状態を、前記待機状態及び前記接続状態に選択的に設定する状態設定手段(208)と、を備え、前記状態設定手段は、自車両についての情報及び又は他の車両についての情報に基づいて、少なくとも一つの所定の条件が満たされるか否かを判断し、満たされるときに前記通信装置を接続状態に設定し、満たされていないことを条件として前記通信装置を待機状態に設定する。【選択図】図2
