PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle apparatus that only if limited to timing when occupants get off a vehicle, activates a monitoring device to enable suppression of the amount of battery consumption by the monitoring device while being capable of locking/unlocking a door of the vehicle dependently on the presence/absence of a suspicious person.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle apparatus 1 comprises: a door knob operation detection unit 4 that detects operation to a door knob for opening a door from the inside of a vehicle; an activation control unit that when detecting operation to the door knob, activates a monitoring device 2 for monitoring a suspicious person around the vehicle; an acquisition unit that acquires outside-vehicle information showing the presence/absence of the suspicious person monitored by the monitoring device 2; and a locking/unlocking control unit that on the basis of the outside-vehicle information acquired by the acquisition unit, controls locking/unlocking of the door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
