PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of inspecting a photovoltaic power generation apparatus in simple configuration.SOLUTION: An inspection device 600 for a photovoltaic power generation apparatus comprising multiple solar battery modules 102-00 to 102-nn and a power conditioner PCS for converting power that is generated by the multiple solar battery modules 102-00 to 102-nn, into commercial power includes: an infrared camera IRC for imaging exothermic heat in the multiple solar battery modules 102-00 to 102-nn in response to a trigger signal TGS; and a computer PC for detecting a cycle of a power change in the multiple solar battery modules 102-00 to 102-nn caused by the conversion due to the power conditioner PCS and forming the trigger signal TGS synchronously with the detected cycle. The photovoltaic power generation apparatus is inspected based on exothermic heat images in the solar battery modules 102-00 to 102-nn that are captured synchronously with the cycle of the power change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
