PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a view restriction device that can reduce fatigue of an operator without encouraging a decline in wakefulness of the operator, and to provide a view restriction method.SOLUTION: The view restriction device includes: a view restriction part 133 for restricting a field of forward view from a vehicle; and a control part 131 for controlling the view restriction part so as to restrict the field of forward view from the vehicle based on velocity of the vehicle and a degree of wakefulness of an operator of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
