PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel device capable of ensuring the absolute minimum safety even when a failure occurs in a travel control function or a safety control function.SOLUTION: A travel device comprises: a housing; a travel driving part for causing the housing to travel; a speed sensor for detecting a travel speed of the housing; an obstacle sensor for detecting position information of an obstacle around the housing; a first safety control part for controlling the travel of the housing on the basis of the travel speed and the position information of the obstacle to ensure safety; and a second safety control part for monitoring an operation state of the first safety control part, and for, when finding out abnormality, interrupting power supply to the travel driving part. The second safety control part is configured of parts having higher reliability than parts configuring the first safety control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】走行制御機能や安全制御機能に不具合が生じた場合であっても、必要最低限の安全性を確保できる走行装置を提供する。【解決手段】筐体と、前記筐体を走行させる走行駆動部と、前記筐体の走行速度を検知する速度センサと、前記筐体の周囲の障害物の位置情報を検知する障害物センサと、前記走行速度および前記障害物の位置情報に基づき前記筐体の走行を制御して安全を確保する第1の安全制御部と、前記第1の安全制御部の動作状況を監視し、異常を発見すると前記走行駆動部への電力供給を遮断する第2の安全制御部とを備え、前記第2の安全制御部は、前記第1の安全制御部を構成する部品よりも信頼性の高い部品から構成されることを特徴とする走行装置。【選択図】図4
