PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new farnesene copolymer useful as a rubber component of a rubber composition for a tire, which improves both abrasion resistance and grip performance to high levels and exhibits excellent characteristics in processability, a rubber composition for a tire comprising the farnesene copolymer, and a pneumatic tire manufactured by using the rubber composition for a tire.SOLUTION: The farnesene copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing farnesene and a conjugate diene compound represented by general formula (2), in which a copolymerization ratio (l) of farnesene is 1 to 40 wt.% and a copolymerization ratio (m) is 99 to 60 wt.%. In formula (2), Rand Rare the same or different from each other, representing a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a halogen atom.SELECTED DRAWING: None
