PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a section line recognition device capable of accurately determining a scene of branching.SOLUTION: A section line recognition device 20 for recognizing section lines for partitioning a lane of one's own on which a subject vehicle 50 travels based on an image captured by an on-vehicle camera 10 comprises: a one's own lane recognition unit that recognizes the lane of one's own on which the subject vehicle 50 travels based on the image; an adjacent lane recognition unit that recognizes an adjacent lane adjoining the lane of one's own based on the image; and a branching determination unit that determines whether it is a scene of branching in which there exists a branching lane split from the lane of one's own based on a difference in change inclination of lane width between the recognized lane of one's own and the recognized adjacent lane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
