PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire sidewalls that prevents the occurrence of a poor appearance due to whitening and improves ozone resistance to an unconventionally high level.SOLUTION: A rubber composition comprises a rubber component comprising natural rubber and butadiene rubber of 100 pts.mass, and water-absorbing resin of 0.2-1.0 pts.mass, wax and carbon black. The water-absorbing resin has a water absorption magnification at 20-80°C of 50 times or more, and the carbon black has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface of 90 m/g or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】白色化による外観不良の発生を抑制し、かつ耐オゾン性を従来レベル以上に向上するタイヤサイドウォール用ゴム組成物を提供する。【解決手段】天然ゴム、ブタジエンゴムを含むゴム成分100質量部に、吸水性樹脂を0.2〜1.0質量部、ワックスおよびカーボンブラックを配合してなるゴム組成物であって、前記吸水性樹脂の20〜80℃における吸水倍率が50倍以上、前記カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が90m2/g以下であることを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
