PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce false determination in determining whether or not a driver has visually recognized a road sign, on the basis of a line-of-sight of the driver.SOLUTION: A road sign visual recognition determination system includes a visibility estimation unit, a visual recognition completion time calculation unit, and a visual recognition determination unit. The visibility estimation unit calculates complexity of a road sign on the basis of the contents of the road sign, to estimate visibility of the road sign corresponding to the calculated complexity of the road sign. The visual recognition completion time calculation unit calculates a distance from a driver to the road sign, and calculates a visual recognition completion time required for the driver to visually recognize the road sign by use of the distance from the driver to the road sign, a speed of a vehicle, and the visibility of the road sign. The visual recognition determination unit calculates a gaze time in which the driver continuously gazes the road sign, on the basis of location information of the vehicle, road sign information, and line-of-sight information including a direction of a line of sight of the driver, to determine whether the driver has recognized the contents of the road sign, on the basis of the gaze time and the visual recognition completion time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】運転者の視線に基づいて運転者が道路標識を視認したか否かを判定する際の誤判定を低減する。【解決手段】道路標識視認判定システムは、視認度推定部と、視認完了時間算出部と、視認判定部と、を含む。視認度推定部は、道路標識の内容に基づいて当該道路標識の複雑さを算出し、算出した前記道路標識の複雑さに応じた当該道路標識の視認度を推定する。視認完了時間算出部は、運転者から道路標識までの距離を算出し、車両の速度、道路標識の視認度、及び算出した運転者から道路標識までの距離を用いて運転者による当該道路標識の視認に要する視認完了時間を算出する。視認判定部は、車両の位置情報と、道路標識情報と、運転者の視線の方向を含む視線情報とに基づいて運転者が道路標識を連続して注視している注視時間を算出し、注視時間と視認完了時間とに基づいて運転者が道路標識の内容を認識したか否かを判定する。【選択図】図1
