PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance welding device and a resistance welding method in which joining quality can be determined, and a shape of a projection to be used in projection welding and is suitable for determining joining quality or the like, and thereby improve electrical reliability and mechanical joining strength of conductor connection of an electric power steering device.SOLUTION: A movement amount measuring part 1007 is disposed in a resistance welding device 1000, and an interval between conductors 1004 and 1005 to be joint is measured before and after joining them. In order to evaluate joining quality on the basis of the interval, and to facilitate securing an interval between the conductors after joining them, a projection 200 constituted of a base 210 and a projection face 230 is provided on the conductor 1005 to be connected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】接合の良否の判定を行うことが可能な抵抗溶接装置及び抵抗溶接方法、並びに、接合の良否の判定等に適したプロジェクション溶接に用いる突起の形状を提供し、電動パワーステアリング装置の導体接続の電気的信頼性及び機械的接合強度の向上を図る。【解決手段】抵抗溶接装置1000に移動量測定部1007を設け、接合対象となる導体1004と1005との接合前後の間隔を測定し、当該間隔に基づいて、接合の良否の評価を行うと共に、上記接合後の導体間の間隔の確保を容易とするために、上記接続対象となる導体1005に、基台210及び突面230とからなる突起200を設けた。【選択図】図6
