PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally enclosed motor for a railway vehicle capable of efficiently cooling a part of a motor case to which no travel wind contacts.SOLUTION: A totally enclosed motor for a railway vehicle of the invention comprises a motor case 41 comprising cooling fins 42 on an outer surface. An attachment arm 43 is provided in a protruding state on the motor case, and the motor case is attached to a truck frame 1 of a railway vehicle through the attachment arm with a gap. A part of the outer surface of the motor case facing a gap between the case and the truck frame, is a region 41a on which there is no cooling fin, and a heat transfer body 8 which contacts in surface contact, to a part of the truck frame, is jointed to the region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】走行風が然程あたらない電動機ケースの部分を効果的に冷却できるようにした鉄道車両用全閉形電動機を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の鉄道車両用全閉形電動機は、外表面に冷却フィン42を設けた電動機ケース41を備える。電動機ケースには取付アーム43が突設され、取付アームを介して鉄道車両の台車枠1に隙間を存して取り付けられる。台車枠との間の隙間に臨む電動機ケースの外表面の一部を冷却フィンの無い領域41aとし、この領域に、台車枠の部分に面接触する伝熱体8を接合する。【選択図】図2
