PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately estimate an advance direction of an owner of a mobile terminal with restriction on a holding mode of the mobile terminal reduced, using measurement data by the mobile terminal.SOLUTION: An advance direction estimation system includes: a processor; and a storage device. The storage device is configured to store angular velocity data including angular velocity values in three axes of a mobile terminal which is associated with a measurement time, and acceleration data including acceleration values in the three axes of the mobile terminal which is associated with the measurement time. The processor is configured to: estimate an absolute value of a direction change velocity of an owner of the mobile terminal on the basis of the angular velocity data; select one axis from the three axes on the basis of the acceleration data to estimate a direction of the selected one axis; estimate a direction of an advance direction change of the owner on the basis of the direction of the one axis and a code of an angular velocity in the one axis in the angular velocity data; and estimate a current advance direction of the owner on the basis of an advance direction, the absolute value of the direction change velocity and the direction of the advance direction change, which are previously estimated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】移動端末の所持態様の制限を小さくしつつ、移動端末による測定データを使用して移動端末所持者の進行方向をより正確に推定する。【解決手段】進行方向推定システムは、プロセッサと記憶装置とを含む。記憶装置は、測定時刻と関連付けられた移動端末の3軸における角速度の値を含む角速度データと、測定時刻と関連付けられた移動端末の3軸における加速度の値を含む加速度データと、を格納する。プロセッサは、角速度データに基づき移動端末の所持者の向き変更速度の絶対値を推定し、加速度データに基づき3軸から一つの軸を選択し上記一つの軸の向きを推定し、上記一つの軸の向き及び角速度データにおける上記一つの軸での角速度の符号に基づき、所持者の進行方向変化の方向を推定し、所持者の現在進行方向を、前回推定した進行方向、向き変更速度の絶対値、及び進行方向変化の方向に基づき推定する。【選択図】図1
