PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery cooling apparatus that does not allow the cooling performance of a battery to be unnecessarily deteriorated.SOLUTION: A battery cooling apparatus, for use in cooling a battery incorporated in a vehicle, includes: a cooling fan for introducing wind from an intake port opened to a cabin, thus sending the wind to the battery; and a control part for controlling driving of the cooling fan. Further, in a case where the vehicle is a multiple embarking-disembarking vehicle in which an opening-closing frequency of a vehicular door is equal to or higher than a predetermined reference value, the control part suppresses driving of the cooling fan in comparison with the time before the door is opened, or inhibits driving of the cooling fan, while the door is opened, whereas in a case where the opening-closing frequency of the door is less than the reference value, the control part does not suppress driving of the cooling fan even while the vehicular door is opened.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
