PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of an ATS ground unit resulting from an avalanche, etc.SOLUTION: An ATS ground unit 10 includes: a ground unit body 20 which performs communication with an on-board unit installed in a train; and an installation substrate 40 which installs the ground unit body 20 along a rail R at a position suitable for the communication with the on-board unit. The on-board unit 20 is provided with a protective layer 50 in at least a part of an area of the surface, and the area in which the protective layer 50 is provided is arbitrarily set in consideration of a shape, size, installation position, etc. of the ground unit body 20. Namely, since the protective layer 50 is provided in an arbitrary area to the ground unit body 20 with which an avalanche from the train, etc. is more likely to collide because of being installed at the position for successfully performing the communication with the on-board unit of the train, an impact of collision of the avalanche, etc. to the ground unit body 20 can be suppressed, and it becomes possible to prevent breakage of the ATS ground unit 10 resulting from the avalanche, etc. by providing the protective layer 50 in the area with which it is thought that the avalanche, etc. is especially easy to collide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】落雪等に起因するATS地上子の破損を防止する。【解決手段】ATS地上子10は、列車に設置された車上子と通信を行う地上子本体20と、地上子本体20を車上子との通信に適した位置にレールRに沿って設置する設置用基板40とを含んでいる。地上子本体20には、表面の少なくとも一部の領域に防護層50が設けられ、この防護層50が設けられる領域は、地上子本体20の形状、大きさ、設置位置等を考慮して任意に設定される。すなわち、列車の車上子と良好に通信が行える位置に設置されるが故に、列車からの落雪等が衝突する可能性が高い地上子本体20に対して、任意の領域に防護層50が設けられているため、特に落雪等が衝突し易いと考えられる領域に防護層50を設けることで、地上子本体20に対する落雪等の衝突の衝撃を抑制することができ、落雪等に起因するATS地上子10の破損を防止することが可能となる。【選択図】図1
