PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of appropriately recognizing a travel environment on the basis of a pitch angle and output information of a detection device for detecting a travel environment.SOLUTION: A travel environment recognition device 10 includes a correlation acquisition section 20, a pitch angle prediction section 30, and an environment recognition section 40. The correlation acquisition section 20 acquires correlation relationship between a physical quantity and the pitch angle of a vehicle by defining the physical quantity related to a lateral motion of a vehicle to be detected by a travel state detection device 50 as an input parameter. The pitch angle prediction section 30 predicts a pitch angle from the physical quantity on the basis of the correlation relationship to be acquired by the correlation acquisition section 20. The environment recognition section 40 recognizes a travel environment on the basis of the output information of an on-vehicle travel environment detection device 52 for detecting a travel environment in the circumference of a vehicle and a pitch angle to be predicted by the pitch angle prediction section 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】ピッチ角と走行環境を検出する検出装置の出力情報とに基づいて、走行環境を適切に認識する技術を提供する。【解決手段】走行環境認識装置10は、相関取得部20とピッチ角予測部30と環境認識部40とを備えている。相関取得部20は、走行状態検出装置50が検出する車両の横方向の運動に関連する物理量を入力パラメータとし、物理量と車両のピッチ角との相関関係を取得する。ピッチ角予測部30は、相関取得部20が取得する相関関係に基づいて物理量からピッチ角を予測する。環境認識部40は、車両の周囲の走行環境を検出する車載の走行環境検出装置52の出力情報とピッチ角予測部30が予測するピッチ角とに基づいて走行環境を認識する。【選択図】図1
