PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traverser capable of stabilizing a travel attitude and preventing occurrence of oblique motion.SOLUTION: A traverser which mounts a railway vehicle thereon and laterally moves along a rail comprises: a pair of travel devices 4, 5 arranged on both end parts of a long frame in a longitudinal direction; and a controller (PLC) 41 for controlling the travel devices 4, 5 respectively. The travel devices 4, 5 comprise respectively drive wheels 11 and drive wheels 12 driven by electric motors 31, 32. The travel devices 4, 5 comprise a pair of encoders 36, 37. The PLC 41 performs synchronization of rotation numbers of electric motors 31, 32 of both travel devices 4, 5 by vector control, and the PLC 41 calculates a travel distance of respective travel devices 4, 5 based on detection values of both encoders 36, 37, and calculates a difference of two travel distances, and when the travel distance difference becomes larger than a prescribed value, decelerates the electric motor 31 or 32 of the travel device 4 or 5 on which the travel distance is longer so that the travel distance difference becomes equal to or less than a tolerance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】トラバーサにつき、走行姿勢の安定化を図り斜行の発生を防止すること。【解決手段】鉄道車両を載せてレールに沿って横向きに移動するトラバーサは、長尺な台枠の長手方向両端部に設けられる一対の走行装置4,5と、両走行装置4,5をそれぞれ制御する制御装置(PLC)41とを備える。両走行装置4,5は、電動モータ31,32で駆動される駆動輪11,12を含む。両走行装置4,5に一対のエンコーダ36,37が設けられる。PLC41は、両走行装置4,5の電動モータ31,32の回転数の同調をベクトル制御で行う。これと共に、PLC41は、両エンコーダ36,37の検出値に基づき両走行装置4,5それぞれの走行距離を算出し、その二つの走行距離の間の走行距離差を算出し、その走行距離差が所定値より大きくなったとき、走行距離差が許容値以下になるよう走行距離が大きい方の走行装置4,5の電動モータ31,32を減速させる。【選択図】 図3
