PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve more sealing performance.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a non-contact type seal device of a railway vehicle gear device 1 in which a labyrinth channel 10 is formed between opposing surfaces of a rotary sleeve 13 attached between a bearing lid 12 at a part where a vehicle shaft 5 passes through a casing 6 and protrudes and a bearing 8 of the vehicle shaft 5 rotatably supporting the bearing lid 12 and the vehicle shaft 5, and a slinger 11 is arranged at a position near the bearing 8 rather than the labyrinth channel 10 of the rotary sleeve 13. The inner surface of the casing 6 positioned at an outer circumferential surface side of the slinger 11 is processed with oil repelling treatment.EFFECT: The sealing performance of the non-contact type seal device is improved since an action for returning lubricant oil into the casing is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】シール性能のさらなる向上を図る。【解決手段】鉄道車両用歯車装置1の、例えば、車軸5がケーシング6を貫通して突出する部分の軸受蓋16と、車軸5の、軸受蓋13と車軸5を回転自在に支持する軸受8の間に取り付けられた回転スリーブ13の、それぞれの対向面にラビリンス流路10を形成するとともに、回転スリーブ13のラビリンス流路10よりも軸受8寄りの位置にスリンガ11を設けた非接触式シール装置である。スリンガ11の外周側に位置するケーシング6の内面に撥油処理を施した。【効果】潤滑油をケーシングの内部に戻す作用が向上するので、非接触式シール装置のシール性能が向上する。【選択図】図1
