PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an adverse effect on an inboard load by regenerative electric power of an electric motor, and achieve energy-saving.SOLUTION: A vessel propulsion device connects a power generator 5 and an electric motor 4 electrically when the number of revolution of a main machine 2 is a predetermined value or more. When the number of revolution of the main machine 2 is the predetermined value or more, a control device and a motor 6 are connected electrically, and when the number of revolution of the main machine 2 is less than the predetermined value, the control device 11 and an electric power conversion device 8 are connected electrically. When regenerative electric power is output from the electric motor 4 when the number of revolution of the main machine 2 is the predetermined value or more, a resistor is connected to an AC circuit of the electric motor 4 to cause the regenerative electric power to be consumed. Meanwhile, when the number of revolution of the main machine 2 is less than the predetermined value, the electric power conversion device 8 and the electric motor 4 are connected electrically. Also, when the regenerative electric power is output from the electric motor 4 when the number of revolution of the main machine 2 is less than the predetermined value, a resistor is connected to a DC circuit of the electric power conversion device 8 to cause the regenerative electric power to be consumed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】電動機の回生電力による船内負荷への悪影響を回避すると共に、省エネルギー化を図る。【解決手段】船舶用推進装置は、主機2の回転数が所定値以上の場合には、発電機5と電動機4とを電気的に接続する。主機2の回転数が所定値以上の場合には、制御装置と原動機6とを電気的に接続し、主機2の回転数が所定値未満の場合には、制御装置11と電力変換装置8とを電気的に接続する。また、主機2の回転数が所定値以上の場合に電動機4から回生電力が出力されると、電動機4の交流回路に抵抗を接続して当該回生電力を消費させる。一方、主機2の回転数が所定値未満の場合には、電力変換装置8と電動機4とを電気的に接続する。また、主機2の回転数が所定値未満の場合に電動機4から回生電力が出力されると、電力変換装置8の直流回路に抵抗を接続して当該回生電力を消費させる。【選択図】図1
