PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side frame for a vehicle body capable of reducing its weight and preferably ensuring the absorption quantity of an impact load.SOLUTION: A side frame 10 for a vehicle body is a member absorbing an impact load by being bent by the input impact load. The side frame 10 includes a plurality of ultra-high strength parts 46 provided at intervals in a longitudinal direction, and a plurality of high strength parts 48 interposed between the plurality of the ultra-high strength parts 46. The tensile strength of the ultra-high strength parts 46 exceeds 1400 MPa, and the tensile strength of the high strength parts 48 is suppressed to 500-1000 MPa. The high strength parts 48 are formed so that their plate thickness dimension is larger than that of the ultra-high strength parts 46. In addition, a front stress concentration part 51, a middle stress concentration part 52 and a rear stress concentration part 53 are formed on a front high strength part 48A, a middle high strength part 48B and a rear high strength part 48c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】軽量化が図れ、かつ、衝撃荷重の吸収量を好適に確保できる車体用サイドフレームを提供する。【解決手段】車体用サイドフレーム10は、入力した衝撃荷重で折れ曲がることにより衝撃荷重を吸収する部材である。サイドフレーム10は、長手方向に間隔をおいて設けられる複数の超高強度部46と、複数の超高強度部46間に介在される複数の高強度部48とを備える。超高強度部46の引張強度が1400MPaを超え、高強度部48の引張強度が500〜1000MPaに抑えられる。高強度部48は、超高強度部46より板厚寸法が大きく形成される。さらに、前高強度部48A、中高強度部48Bおよび後高強度部48Cに前応力集中部51、中応力集中部52および後応力集中部53が形成される。【選択図】図2
