PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact strip which is hard to give a damage onto a trolley wire, and a pantagraph.SOLUTION: A contact strip 7 of a current collecting device which collects electric current from a trolley wire by slidingly contacting the trolley wire in association with travel of a railroad vehicle comprises plural contact strip pieces 8 which are arranged in a width direction of the railroad vehicle, and a slide strip support part which supports the plural slide strip pieces 8. The slide strip piece 8 has: a slide contact surface 81 which slidingly contacts a lower surface of the trolley wire; a lateral surface 83 which extends in a direction crossing the slide contact surface 81; and a curve surface X which is formed continuously with at least a part of an end edge of the slide contact surface 81, and is curved from the slide contact surface 81 towards the lateral surface 83.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
