PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commercial ship in which, on-deck structures such as plural cargo tanks arranged in a separated state in a ship length direction, are provided in a protruding state on an upper deck, capable of reducing wind pressure resistance on the on-deck structures, and reducing wind pressure resistance on a corner part where a side shell and the upper deck cross, and a cross wind pressure resistance reduction method for the commercial ship.SOLUTION: The commercial ship is configured so that, plural on-deck structures 11 arranged in a separated state in a ship length direction are provided in a protruding state on an upper deck 2, in the commercial ship, a cover body 20 which is inclined so that a side on the on-deck structure 11 becomes an upper side, is provided between at least one or more on-deck structure 11b in the plural on-deck structures 11 and a broadside 3, with a gap S between it and the upper deck 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
