PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform fence and an opening and closing control method for the platform fence which enable the redundancy of an opening and closing control device to be executed at a low cost by elongating the life of a control board or the like.SOLUTION: Control boards 121, 122, 12n that control the opening and closing of doors by covering opening parts 101, 102...10n installed in a platform fence 1 and an integrated control device 2 that communicates with the control boards 12. The integrated control device 2 comprises relay boards 13 that alternately actuate the control boards 12 to allocate main control and are each installed on both doors of each opening part 10 to communicate with each other, the control boards 12 that use either of a pair of relay boards 131L, 131R as the contact relay board to communicate, and the integrated control device 2 that communicates with the control boards 12 of each opening part 10, where the integrated control device 2 alternately actuates a pair of relay boards 131L, 131R as the contact relay board to allocate main relay control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
