PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular collision detection device capable of highly accurately detecting a collision of a pedestrian or the like regardless of a temperature change.SOLUTION: A vehicular collision detection device 1 includes: a bumper absorber 2 disposed on a vehicle front side of a bumper reinforcement 9; a tube member 3 for detection which has a hollow section 3a formed in the inside fitted in a groove section 2a formed in the bumper absorber 2; and a pressure sensor for detecting pressure in the hollow section 3a. The vehicular collision detection device detects a collision of an object (pedestrian) with a bumper 7 on the basis of the pressure detection result by the pressure sensor. The tube member 3 for detection is configured so that a load-pressure change characteristic to be a relation between a load applied during the collision and a pressure change in the hollow section 3a has a temperature characteristic to cancel a temperature characteristic of a load-displacement characteristic that the bumper absorber 2 has in a state of being fitted in the groove section 2a of the bumper absorber 2, and that a pressure detection value detected by the pressure sensor is to be a prescribed reference value or more required for discriminating the collision of the object or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】歩行者等の衝突を温度変化に拘わらず高精度に検知可能な車両用衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用衝突検知装置1は、バンパレインフォースメント9の車両前方側に配設されたバンパアブソーバ2と、バンパアブソーバ2に形成された溝部2a内に装着される内部に中空部3aが形成された検出用チューブ部材3と、中空部3a内の圧力を検出する圧力センサとを有し、圧力センサによる圧力検出結果に基づいてバンパへ7の物体(歩行者)の衝突を検知する。検出用チューブ部材3は、バンパアブソーバ2の溝部2aに装着された状態において、衝突時に負荷される荷重と中空部3a内の圧力変化との関係である荷重−圧力変化特性が、バンパアブソーバ2が有する荷重−変位特性の温度特性を相殺する温度特性を有すると共に、圧力センサにより検出される圧力検出値が物体の衝突を判別するために必要とされる所定の基準値以上となるように構成される。【選択図】図3
