PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian collision detection device which can detect a failure of the pedestrian collision detection device which occurs while a vehicle is stopped.SOLUTION: A pedestrian collision detection device 11 comprises: a bumper support member 18; a foam member 20 arranged on the front surface of the bumper support member 18; a detection tube 22 arranged on the front surface of the foam member 20; and pressure sensor parts 26A, 26B which are connected to end parts of the detection tube 22. The pressure sensor part 26A incorporates an electrode 39A consisting of a rotating electrode 40A and a fixed electrode 42A. When an impact is applied while a vehicle 10 is stopped, the rotating electrode 40A rotates and comes into contact with the fixed electrode 42A, causing electric power 39A to be conducted. With this, a failure of the pedestrian collision device 11 is recorded and the vehicle 10 is prevented from traveling in a state in which the pedestrian collision detection device 11 is failed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両の停車中に於ける歩行者衝突検知装置の故障を検知できる歩行者衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の歩行者衝突検知装置11は、バンパ支持部材18と、バンパ支持部材18の前面に配置されたフォーム材20と、フォーム材20の前面に配置された検出チューブ22と、検出チューブ22の端部に接続する圧力センサ部26A、26Bとを備えている。また、圧力センサ部26Aには、回転電極40Aと固定電極42Aとからなる電極39Aが内蔵されている。車両10の停車時において衝撃が作用すると、回転電極40Aが回転して固定電極42Aに接触することで電力39Aが導通する。これにより、歩行者衝突検知装置11の故障が記録され、歩行者衝突検知装置11が故障した状態で車両10が走行することが防止される。【選択図】図2
