PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular drive device having an automatic transmission capable of stopping an internal combustion engine to enable inertial travel in a neutral state, which can reduce delay of responsibility due to racing of engine rotational speed in restoring from the inertial travel to a normal travel.SOLUTION: A vehicular drive device includes: an automatic transmission drive-connected to an output shaft, engaged/disengaged by supply/discharge of hydraulic pressure, and having a plurality of engagement elements capable of selectively forming a plurality of shift stages by combination of simultaneous engagement; a hydraulic control device; and a control device. The control device, when there is a start request of an internal combustion engine during inertial travel in a state where the internal combustion engine is stopped (t1), and an engine rotational speed Ne exceeds a first threshold Nwith a synchronous rotational speed Nof a target shift stage as reference (t5), engages, among the plurality of engagement elements, a second brake B2 capable of stopping rotation of an input shaft, thereby to reduce the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】内燃エンジンを停止してニュートラル状態で惰性走行可能な自動変速機構を有する車両用駆動装置において、惰性走行から通常走行に復帰する際のエンジン回転速度の吹き上がりによる応答性の遅れを軽減できる車両用駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】出力軸に駆動連結され、油圧の給排により係脱し、同時係合する組み合わせにより複数の変速段を選択的に形成可能な複数の係合要素を有する自動変速機構と、油圧制御装置と、制御装置と、を備え、制御装置は、内燃エンジンが停止した状態での惰性走行中に内燃エンジンの始動要求があり(t1)、エンジン回転速度Neが目標変速段の同期回転速度N5を基準とする第1の閾値Nθ1を超えた場合に(t5)、複数の係合要素のうち、入力軸の回転を停止可能な第2ブレーキB2を係合して、内燃エンジンの回転速度を低減する。【選択図】図5
