PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed limit device which can reduce a possibility that an upper limit value does not function after transition to a flat road from an uphill road, and an actual vehicle speed exceeds a limit vehicle speed.SOLUTION: A vehicle speed limit device includes: demand value calculation means for calculating a demand value corresponding to an acceleration opening; first upper limit value calculation means for calculating a first upper limit value by adding a second limit value corresponding to an integrated value of acceleration deviation between the limit acceleration and current acceleration to a first limit value based on the limit acceleration corresponding to vehicle speed deviation between a limit vehicle speed and a current vehicle speed; second upper limit calculation means for calculating a second upper limit value by adding a third limit value based on a maximum drive force to the first limit value; selection means for selecting a smaller value out of the demand value and the second limit value when the first limit value exceeds a prescribed threshold, and selects a smaller value out of the demand value and the first upper limit value when the first limit value does not exceed the prescribed threshold; and control means for controlling the drive force generation device so that a drive force corresponding to the value which is selected by the selection means is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】登坂路から平坦路への移行後に上限値が機能せずに制限車速に対して実車速が超えてしまう可能性を低減できる車速制限装置の提供。【解決手段】車速制限装置は、アクセル開度に応じた要求値を算出する要求値算出手段と、制限車速及び現在の車速の車速偏差に応じた制限加速度に基づく第1制限値に、前記制限加速度と現在の加速度との加速度偏差の積算値に応じた第2制限値を加算することで第1上限値を算出する第1上限値算出手段と、前記第1制限値に、最大駆動力に基づく第3制限値を加算することで第2上限値を算出する第2上限値算出手段と、前記第1上限値が所定閾値を超えるときは、前記要求値及び前記第2上限値のうちの小さい方の値を選択し、前記第1上限値が前記所定閾値を超えないときは、前記要求値及び前記第1上限値のうちの小さい方の値を選択する選択手段と、前記選択手段により前記選択された値に対応した駆動力が発生するように前記駆動力発生装置を制御する制御手段とを含む。【選択図】図1
