PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for the most suitable traffic facility from a plurality of pieces of traffic facility information and the circumstances of each individual user, and update the information on a real-time basis.SOLUTION: A traffic facility information providing server receives from a user terminal connected via a network a request for finding traffic facility information covering at least the starting point, the destination and the desired arrival time. A function to evaluate the traffic facility is provided having input parameters including conditions such as the destination and the desired arrival time, probe information and traffic information acquired from outside. And evaluation items of traffic facilities are weighted according to the circumstances of each individual user, the assessed value of each traffic facility is calculated by using the weighted evaluative function, and a traffic facility choosing screen on which traffic facilities are arranged in the descending order of the assessed value is generated to be presented to users. The assessed value of each traffic facility is recalculated every time the values of input parameters vary and updated on a real-time basis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】複数の交通手段の情報及び利用者の個別状況から最適な交通手段を検索し、リアルタイムに情報を更新する。【解決手段】交通手段情報提供サーバは、ネットワーク経由で接続される利用者端末から、少なくとも出発地と目的地と希望到着時間とを含む交通手段の検索要求を受信する。また、目的地、希望到着時間等の条件、プロ—ブ情報、外部から取得した交通情報を入力パラメータとする交通手段に対する評価関数を設ける。そして、交通手段の評価項目は、利用者の個別状況に応じて重み付され、その重み付けされた評価関数を用いて、交通手段ごとの評価値を算出して、評価値の高い順に交通手段を並べた交通手段選択画面を生成し、利用者に提示する。各交通手段の評価値は、入力パラメータの値が変化するごとに再計算し、リアルタイムに更新する。【選択図】図1
