PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer capable of improving the fatigue life of the stabilizer while suppressing the delayed destruction of a connection part, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A stabilizer 1 includes a body part 21 for generating an elastic restoration force, and connection parts 4D formed at both ends of the body part 21 and connected to right and left suspension devices, and the hardness of the connection part 4D is set lower than that of the body part 21. The manufacturing method of the stabilizer 1 includes the overall thermal processing step of thermally processing the entire stabilizer 1 to increase the hardness of the entire stabilizer 1, and the connection part softening step of heating the connection part 4D to set the hardness of the connection part 4D low, these steps are executed in this order, the hardness of the body part 21 is set higher, and the hardness of the connection part 4D is set lower than that of the body part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】連結部の遅れ破壊を抑制しつつ、スタビライザの疲労寿命を向上させ得るスタビライザおよびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】弾性復元力を生じさせる本体部21と、本体部21の両端に形成され、左右のサスペンション装置と連結する連結部4Dと、を備えたスタビライザ1であって、連結部4Dの硬度を本体部21の硬度よりも低くする。スタビライザ1の製造方法として、スタビライザ1全体を熱処理してスタビライザ1全体の硬度を高くする全体熱処理工程と、連結部4Dを加熱して連結部4Dの硬度を低くする連結部軟化工程と、をその順序で行うことにより、本体部21の硬度を高めるとともに、連結部4Dの硬度を本体部21の硬度よりも低くする。【選択図】図2
