PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the lowering of tire pressure without using a pressure sensor, and to regulate the tire pressure to proper pneumatic pressure.SOLUTION: A tire pressure regulator comprises: a vehicle speed sensor 21 which detects a tire attached to a wheel of a vehicle, and a vehicle speed of the vehicle; a wheel speed sensor 22 which detects a wheel speed of the wheel; detection means 51, 52 and 53 which detect the lowering of the pneumatic pressure of the tire from the detected vehicle speed of the vehicle speed sensor 21 and the detected wheel speed of the wheel speed sensor 22; and pressure regulation means 8, 54 which increase pneumatic pressure by raising a temperature in the tire when the detection means detect the lowering of the pneumatic pressure of the tire. The detection means 51, 52 and 53 set a normal wheel speed at normal pneumatic pressure corresponding to the detected vehicle speed, and detect the lowering of the pneumatic pressure of the tire when a ratio of the detected wheel speed with respect to the normal wheel speed is not lower than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
