PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle electronic control unit that complies with a functional safety standard for memory diagnosis.SOLUTION: A RAM 264 of a vehicle-mounted electronic control unit can be logically divided into an SMRAM area 264A that has to comply with functional safety requirements and a normal RAM area 264B that does not have to comply with the functional safety requirements. The SMRAM area 264A, a part of the RAM 264, is logically divided by a predetermined number n into divided areas (1 though n). A processor of the electronic control unit checks each of the divided areas (1 through n) using an anomaly determination value, such as a SUM value and inverse thereof, every predetermined period of time that is shorter than FTTI (Fault Tolerant Time Interval) to sequentially diagnose whether data stored therein has been rewritten or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】メモリ診断について機能安全規格を準拠できるようにする。【解決手段】自動車に搭載された電子制御装置のRAM264は、機能安全を適用しなければならないSMRAM領域264Aと、機能安全を適用する必要がない通常RAM領域264Bと、に論理的に分けることができる。RAM264の一部の領域であるSMRAM領域264Aは、所定数nで論理的に分割した、分割領域1〜nに分けられる。そして、電子制御装置のプロセッサは、各分割領域1〜nについて、FTTI(フォールトトレラント時間間隔)よりも短い所定時間ごとに、例えば、SUM値,その反転値などの異常判定値を用いて、そこに格納されたデータが書き換えられているか否かを順番に診断する。【選択図】図5
