PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for determining a group of vehicles and to perform new traffic signal control using a result of the determination.SOLUTION: A traffic signal controller repeats individual vehicle group determination to determine whether there is a vehicle group in a determination period while shifting the determination period for arrival traffic flow prediction information on each of inflow paths of an intersection where the traffic controller stands, and determines vehicle groups by integrating the determination results of the individual vehicle group determination. The individual vehicle group determination includes first individual vehicle group determination based on the arrival timing of a specific vehicle and second individual vehicle determination based on the arrival traffic flow prediction information. The determination result is stored in a vehicle group determination table. Then, a signal control parameter is changed with the use of the vehicle group determination result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】新たな車群の判定方法を実現し、当該判定結果を用いた新たな交通信号制御を行うこと。【解決手段】交通信号制御機は、自交差点の流入路それぞれについて、到着交通流予測情報に対して、判定期間内に車群が存在するかの個別車群判定を判定期間をずらしながら繰り返し、これらの個別車群判定の判定結果を統合して車群を判定する。個別車群判定は、特定車両の到着タイミングに基づく第1の個別車群判定と、到着交通流予測情報に基づく第2の個別車群判定とを含む。判定結果は車群判定テーブルに格納される。そして、この車群の判定結果を用いて、信号制御パラメータを変更する。【選択図】図4
