PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification method suitable for a ship.SOLUTION: A ship mounts an engine 1, a water production machine 21 for making fresh water from sea water, and a water tank 22 for storing water produced by the water production machine 21. A reducer solution produced by mixing a solid-state raw material reducer and water, is sprayed to a reduction catalyst 10 disposed on an exhaust pipe 8 of the engine 1, thereby nitrogen oxide included in the exhaust gas of the engine 1 is purified. An exhaust gas purification method comprises a production step of producing the reducer solution having reducer concentration corresponding to high nitrogen oxide concentration which is assumed in the exhaust gas, and a dilution step of supplying water from the water tank 22 and diluting the reducer solution so that concentration of the reducer solution becomes reducer concentration required for purification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
