PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device capable of preventing thermal destruction of a switching element caused by regeneration from an inductive load even in the case where synchronous rectification control is disabled in an inverter circuit by an abnormality and the switching element is turned off, while reducing a loss by performing synchronous rectification also at an inverter side.SOLUTION: A PWM rectifier circuit and an inverter circuit comprise switching elements each formed from a SiC-MOSFET including a parasitic diode or a GaN-MOSFET including a parasitic diode. An external diode is not connected to the switching element of the PWM rectifier circuit, and synchronous rectification control is performed to conduct a reflux current by turning on the switching element. An external diode is connected in reverse parallel to the switching element of the inverter circuit, and synchronous rectification control is performed to conduct a reflux current by turning on the switching element when performing regeneration from an inductive load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】インバータ側においても同期整流による低損失化を行いつつ、異常によりインバータ回路において同期整流制御が行えずスイッチング素子がオフの状態となった場合でも誘導性負荷からの回生によるスイッチング素子の熱破壊を防止できる電力変換装置の提供。【解決手段】PWM整流回路およびインバータ回路は、寄生ダイオードを有するSiC−MOSFETまたは寄生ダイオードを有するGaN−MOSFETで構成されたスイッチング素子を有し、PWM整流回路のスイッチング素子には外付けのダイオードが接続されず、スイッチング素子をオンすることで還流電流を導通させる同期整流制御が行われ、インバータ回路のスイッチング素子には外付けのダイオードが逆並列に接続され、かつ、誘導性負荷から回生が行われるときにスイッチング素子をオンすることで還流電流を導通させる同期整流制御が行われる。【選択図】 図2
