PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle model discrimination device capable of being installed even in a place that cannot secure a sufficient installation space, and capable of accurately discriminating the model class of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle model discrimination device 10 for discriminating the model class of a vehicle A traveling on a lane L includes: a footboard 10B that is disposed on a road surface of the lane L and detects trampling by a tire of the vehicle A; a laser detector 10C that projects a laser beam to a disposed height of the tire in a range on the near side in the travel direction of at least the footboard 10B on the lane L and detects the reflected light of the laser beam; and a main control unit 10D for determining the number of axles of the vehicle A on the basis of the detection results of the footboard 10B and laser detector 10C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
