PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorption structure which does not cause the scattering of fragments and dust at the crush of the fiber-reinforced resin-made energy absorption member, and can obtain a stable impact energy characteristic over an entire range of a crush stroke.SOLUTION: An energy absorption structure comprises: a fiber-reinforced resin-made cylindrical energy absorption member; a first holding member which is arranged at a tip side end of the energy absorption member, and has an erecting part which is arranged at an external periphery of the tip side end of the energy absorption member; a second holding member which is arranged at a rear end side end of the energy absorption member; and a metal-made drag generation member which is arranged inside the rear end side end of the energy absorption member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
