PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a load wheel made of an aluminum alloy capable of manufacturing aluminum wheel having a smaller amount of strain.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a load wheel made of an aluminum alloy including a casting step, a solution treatment step and an artificial aging treatment step. The aluminum alloy contains, by mass ratio, Si of 9.0 to 11.8% and Mg of 0.20 to 0.45%. The solution treatment step has a heating treatment step and a hardening step. The heating treatment step has a first heating treatment step having a first temperature range set at a temperature T1 in a range of 505 to T0°C, where T0 is an eutectic temperature (°C) of the aluminum alloy, and a second heating treatment step having a second temperature range set at a temperature T2 in a range of 500 to (T1-5)°C. A duration of the heating treatment step is 0.1 to 10 hours and a duration of the second temperature range is 1 minute to 3 hours.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
