PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of stably performing radio communication between a train and the ground without incurring facility cost.SOLUTION: The radio communication system includes: a first tag which is installed on the ground on an outer side of a rail track on which a train runs and which is driven with electric power received via radio; a second tag which is installed at a position higher than the first tag and on the outer side of a side face of the train extending in a traveling direction and is driven with electric power received via radio; a radio communication unit which is installed on the train and performs radio communication with the first tag and the second tag; and an antenna which is installed on the train and has radio wave gain in directions of the first tag and the second tag.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
