PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make both compatible in restraint of excessive detection of the occurrence of a door nipping state and realization of high sensitivity detection of the occurrence of the door nipping state, in a door nipping detector, a dragging detector and a sliding door device having the door nipping detector and/or the dragging detector for detecting the occurrence of the door nipping state when closing a sliding door.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a rotary body 21 rotatably provided on the door end of a sliding door (a right side door 10R), rotation detection means (a rotation detector 22) for detecting rotation of the rotary body 21 and door nipping state determination means (a control part 24) for determining that a door nipping state is caused when receiving a detection signal from the rotation detection means, and the rotary body 21 rotates around a rotary shaft X arranged along the door end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
