PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact power supply system, power transmitter, and foreign matter detection method that are capable of securely detecting a foreign matter between a power transmission coil and power reception coil without being influenced by fluctuations in signal intensity caused by an external factor.SOLUTION: A non-contact power supply system for non-contact supplying power from a power transmission coil 32L of a power transmitter A1 to a power reception coil of a power receiver includes: the power receiver for generating a spread spectrum signal obtained by performing spread spectrum modulation using a reference PN code to transmit the generated signal; the power transmitter A1 comprising a reception antenna 43 for receiving the transmitted spread spectrum signal; a despread demodulation circuit 44 that generates a demodulation PN code whose series is the same as that of the reference PN code, gradually changes the demodulation PN code's phase, and detects a correlation characteristic with a reception PN code included in the spread spectrum signal received by the reception antenna 43; and a communication control unit 45 that detects a foreign matter between the power transmission coil 32L and the power reception coil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】外的要因によって発生する信号強度の変動に影響されることなく、確実に送電コイルと受電コイルとの間の異物を検出することができる非接触給電システム、送電装置、および、異物検出方法を提供する。【解決手段】送電装置A1の送電コイル32Lから受電装置の受電コイルに非接触給電する非接触給電システムにおいて、受電装置は、基準PN符号でスペクトル拡散変調したスペクトル拡散信号を生成し、送信する。送信されたスペクトル拡散信号は、送電装置A1に備えられた受信アンテナ43により受信される。そして、逆拡散復調回路44は、基準PN符号と同系列の復調PN符号を発生させ、この復調PN符号の位相を少しずつ変化させ、受信アンテナ43が受信したスペクトル拡散信号に含まれる受信PN符号との相関特性を検出する。通信制御部45は、この相関特性に基づき、送電コイル32Lと受電コイルとの間の異物を検出する。【選択図】図5
