PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rearward erroneous start prevention device for a vehicle operating accurately at a low cost.SOLUTION: A rearward erroneous start prevention device 1 for a vehicle includes a rear monitor sensor 11 which is provided at a rear part of a vehicle body and is a plurality of ultrasonic wave sonars A and B; and a sensor operation control part 16, a control determination unit ECU10 and an engine control unit ECU12 in which, in a case where an ultrasonic wave transmitted from one of the ultrasonic wave sonars A and B is received by the other, it is determined there is an obstacle in a rear direction of the vehicle to perform control of suppressing retreating of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
