PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate shaft capable of being formed without thick coating easy to generate a vacuum void causing a defect or the like, by a powder fluidization immersion method using a powder coating, and including a resin coating layer excellent in heat resistance and abrasion resistance, and provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: In a state where crosslinking agent of thermoplastic resin contained in a powder coating is carried in advance on a surface 17a of an outer spline 17 or inner spline, the powder coating is applied to the surface by a powder fluidization immersion method and is subjected to fusion flowing, and further the thermoplastic resin is crosslinked by the crosslinking agent to form a resin coating layer 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】粉体塗料を用いた粉体流動浸漬法によって、欠陥等のもとになる真空ボイドを生じやすい厚づけをしなくても形成でき、しかも耐熱性や耐摩耗性にも優れた樹脂被覆層を備えたインターミディエートシャフトとその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】外スプライン17または内スプラインの表面17aに、粉体塗料中に含まれる熱可塑性樹脂の架橋剤をあらかじめ担持させた状態で、上記表面に上記粉体塗料を粉体流動浸漬法によって被着させるとともに溶融流展させ、さらに上記架橋剤によって熱可塑性樹脂を架橋させて樹脂被覆層20を形成する。【選択図】図5
