PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vehicle operation system capable of improving the reliability on automatic operation in a parking lot.SOLUTION: The automatic vehicle operation system permits automatic operation in a parking lot based on an acquired piece of traffic direction information, which is the information representing whether the traffic direction on an access aisle which has a width for a single vehicle determined in one direction (S22: YES); and a determination that the traffic direction in the access aisle is defined as one direction based on the traffic direction information (S23: YES, S24: YES). With this, the automatic vehicle operation system can prevent occurrence of such a situation that, during automatic operation, a vehicle encounters with another vehicle face to face, a complicated control of the automatic operation is required such as reverse operation. A result, the reliability of automatic operation in a parking lot is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】駐車場内での自動運転の信頼性を向上させることができる車両自動運転システムを提供する。【解決手段】駐車場において、車両一台分の通路に対する通行方向が一方向に定まっているか否かを表す情報である通行方向情報が取得でき(S22:YES)、かつ、通行方向情報から、通路における通行方向が一方向に定まっていると判断できる(S23:YES、S24:YES)ことに基づいて、駐車場における自動運転を許可する。これにより、自動運転中に、他車両と対面状態となってしまい、後退する等の複雑な自動運転制御の必要性が低下する。その結果、駐車場内での自動運転の信頼性が向上する。【選択図】図1
