PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel power control method capable of supplying power to a sub-propulsion device driven by power while stabilizing a power system, and a vessel.SOLUTION: The power control method is for a vessel 10 that includes a main propulsion device 12 for generating a propulsion force, a power system 19, a generator 17 connected to the power system, a plurality of load devices 18 connected to the power system and consuming power, and a sub-propulsion device 16 connected to the power system and driven by power. The vessel power control method includes predicting fluctuation in power of the power system at the time of starting the sub-propulsion device, setting the allowable fluctuation width of the output of the sub-propulsion device to a design value when it is determined that the predicted value of the fluctuation in power does not exceed a threshold value to determine the output of the sub-propulsion device, and setting the allowable fluctuation width to a suppressed value lower than the design value when it is determined that the predicted value of the fluctuation in power exceeds the threshold value to determine the output of the sub-propulsion device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】電力系統を安定させつつ、電力により駆動される副推進装置に電力を供給することができる船舶の電力制御方法及び船舶を提供する。【解決手段】推進力を発生させる主推進装置12と、電力系統19と、電力系統に接続される発電機17と、電力系統に接続され、電力を消費する複数の負荷機器18と、電力系統に接続され、電力により駆動される副推進装置16と、を有する船舶10の電力制御方法である。船舶の電力制御方法は、副推進装置の起動時に電力系統の電力の変動を予測し、電力の変動の予測値が閾値を超えないと判定した場合、副推進装置の出力の許容変動幅を設計値に設定して、副推進装置の出力を決定し、電力の変動の予測値が閾値を超えると判定した場合、許容変動幅を設計値よりも低い抑制値に設定して、副推進装置の出力を決定する。【選択図】図1
