PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater propulsion device and an underwater probe device capable of securing needed propulsion power even during low speed operation, and having less vibration, and capable of finely controlling a posture.SOLUTION: An underwater propulsion device 1 according to an embodiment comprises: a main body 2 whose tail part is a conical shape; at least one pump having a channel comprising inlets 6 on an outer peripheral face of the main body 2 and a discharging port on the tail part on a downstream side of the inlets 6, and an impeller disposed in the channel; a cylindrical diffuser 8 attached to the main body 2 so as to surround the outer periphery of the discharging port; and plural direction control blades 9 attached in an annular-state to the outer surface of the main body 2 in the vicinity of the downstream of the discharging port, and pivotally supported to the main body 2 at an upstream end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
