PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for coating a steel cord, having improved adhesiveness and a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for coating a steel cord is provided which contains: a diene rubber and one or more kind of vulcanization accelerator selected from a thiazole-based vulcanization accelerator and/or a sulfenamide-based vulcanization accelerator; and N-phenyl-N-(trichloromethylthio)benzenesulfonamide of 0.1 to 1 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the diene rubber, the content of the N-phenyl-N-(trichloromethylthio)benzenesulfonamide being 0.1 to 0.5 pts.mass based on 1 pts.mass of the total amount of the vulcanization accelerator. The pneumatic tire obtained by using the rubber composition is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】接着性が向上したスチールコード被覆用ゴム組成物、及びそれを用いた空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】ジエン系ゴムと、チアゾール系加硫促進剤及び/又はスルフェンアミド系加硫促進剤の中から選択された加硫促進剤1種又は2種以上とを含有し、N−フェニル−N−(トリクロロメチルチオ)ベンゼンスルホンアミドをジエン系ゴム100質量部に対して0.1〜1質量部含有し、このN−フェニル−N−(トリクロロメチルチオ)ベンゼンスルホンアミドの含有量が、上記加硫促進剤の合計量1質量部当たり0.1〜0.5質量部であるゴム組成物を用いる。【選択図】なし
