PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision damage reduction device capable of interrupting a current from a power supply unit in the event of a collision without a current interruption device adapted to a large current.SOLUTION: A collision damage reduction device that is mounted on a vehicle equipped with a power supply unit and an electric load operated by receiving supply of power from the power supply unit includes: a sensor for detecting an obstacle around the vehicle; and a determination part that outputs a command to stop the operation of the electric load when it determines that a collision with the obstacle is unavoidable based on the detection by the sensor, and cuts off an electric power line to supply power from the power supply unit to the electric load when a predetermined condition is satisfied after the output of the command.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】大電流に対応する電流遮断装置が無くても、衝突時において電源部からの電流遮断を可能とする衝突被害低減装置を提供すること。【解決手段】衝突被害低減装置は、電源部と、前記電源部から電力の供給を受けることにより稼働する電気負荷と、を備える車両に搭載される衝突被害低減装置であって、前記車両の周囲の障害物を検出するセンサーと、前記センサーの検出に基づき障害物への衝突が不可避であると判断した場合に、前記電気負荷の稼働を停止させる命令を出力し、前記命令の出力後に所定条件を満たした場合に、前記電源部から前記電気負荷へ電力を供給する電力線を切断する判断部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
