PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle image processing device determining an area where parking can be performed by processing images of a camera.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle image processing device 1 includes: an overhead image generation section 11 for performing viewpoint conversion of a peripheral vehicle photographed by an on-vehicle camera 2 and an image of a road surface so as to generate an overhead image by defining the road surface as a reference; a tire recognition section 12 for recognizing a tire of the peripheral vehicle from the camera image or the overhead image; a three-dimensional object recognition section 13 for recognizing a three-dimensional object including a vehicle body of the peripheral vehicle from the camera image or the overhead image; a vehicle body lower area recognition section 14 for calculating a ground position of the tire and a ground height from the ground position to the vehicle body so as to recognize a vehicle body lower area on the road surface located on a vehicle lower side by the overhead image on the basis of the ground height; and a parking possible area recognition section 16 for recognizing an area where the vehicle body exists and the vehicle body lower area as parking disabled areas and recognizing a parking possible area on the road surface on the basis of the parking disabled areas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】カメラの画像を処理して駐車可能な領域を判断する車載用画像処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】車載用画像処理装置1は、車載カメラ2で撮影した周辺車両と路面の画像を視点変換して該路面を基準とする俯瞰画像を生成する俯瞰画像生成部11と、カメラ画像又は俯瞰画像から周辺車両のタイヤを認識するタイヤ認識部12と、カメラ画像又は俯瞰画像から周辺車両の車体を含む立体物を認識する立体物認識部13と、タイヤの接地位置と、該接地位置から車体までの地上高とを算出し、該地上高に基づいて俯瞰画像で車体下方に位置する路面の車体下領域を認識する車体下領域認識部14と、前記車体が存在する領域と前記車体下領域とを駐車不能領域として認識し、該駐車不能領域に基づいて前記路面上の駐車可能領域を認識する駐車可能領域認識部16と、を備える。【選択図】図2
